Heat Press Instructions
Follow these instructions to ensure proper adhesion, durability, and long-lasting results for your DTF transfers.
Recommended Settings
- Temperature: 315–325°F
- Time: 6–12 seconds
- Pressure: Medium to firm
- Peel: Hot peel
👉 Settings may vary slightly depending on your heat press and garment.
Step-by-Step Application
1. Pre-Press the Garment
Press the garment for 3–5 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.
2. Position the Transfer
Place the transfer on the garment exactly where you want it. Make sure it is flat and aligned properly.
3. Press the Transfer
Apply heat using the recommended settings above with medium to firm pressure.
4. Peel Immediately (Hot Peel)
Peel the film off right after pressing while still hot.
👉 Peel smoothly and evenly — do not rush or yank.
5. Repress for Durability
Cover with Teflon or parchment paper and press again for 6–12 seconds.
👉 This step improves wash durability and finish.
Important Tips
- Use a quality heat press (not a household iron)
- Apply even pressure across the entire design
- Make sure the surface is flat and stable
- Avoid pressing over seams, zippers, or uneven areas
Fabric Compatibility
DTF transfers work best on:
- Cotton
- Polyester
- Cotton/Poly blends
- Most standard apparel fabrics
Washing Instructions
To extend the life of your print:
- Wait 24 hours before washing
- Turn garment inside out
- Wash in cold water
- Avoid bleach
- Tumble dry low or air dry
Common Issues & Fixes
Peeling or lifting edges
→ Increase pressure and repress
Design not sticking properly
→ Check temperature and press time
Dull or faded look
→ Ensure proper repress and correct temperature
